Brianna Burrell, Miss Alabama 2023, is nearing the end of her reign. She’ll crown a new winner on Saturday, June 29, at Samford University’s Wright Center in Birmingham.

Forty women are hoping to become the new Miss Alabama, ranging from Miss Appalachian Valley to Miss Wallace State. Here’s a look at this year’s contestants.

Ultimately, I would like to receive my Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice and specialize in pediatrics.

Scholastic/career ambition: I have always had a passion for youth empowerment and the importance of prioritizing mental health. With that being said, my scholastic/career ambition is to obtain a masters degree and become a school counselor.

Name three items on your bucket list that you would like to accomplish in the next five years: Turn my children’s book into a series, compete at Miss America, study abroad.

The Miss Alabama 2024 competition is set for June 26-July 29 at Samford University’s Wright Center, 872 Montague Drive in Birmingham. Preliminary competitions are set for Wednesday through Friday, June 26-28, at 7 p.m. The finals are scheduled for Saturday, June 29, at 7 p.m.
